Our health depends on the quality o air we breath in our surrounding environment . the concentration of pollutants in a smoky kitchen or in a room of a cigarette smoker is higher than that our outdoors. Studies have shown that tobacco smoke contains at least seven polycyclic hydrocarbons and radio active polonium which can cause cancer. The risk of lung diseases is six times and that of heart diseases twice as compared to a non smoker . there are numerous other disease and disorders that are related to smoking . there is a world wide campaign to banish smoking in public place as smokers affect the health of even non smokers.

The cigar smoke consists of poisonous gases such as carbon monoxide , carbon dioxide in great amount. The carbon monoxide is too injurious to our health. It forms carboxy haemoglobin with haemoglobin. The oxygen carrying capacity of haemoglobin reduced the smoker may undergo suffocation. Prevention is better than cure . so avoid smoking and save you and others.
