Bronchial asthma is characterized by spasm of the smooth muscles present in the bronchiole walls. The cause of this is hypersensitivity of the bronchiole to foreign bodies . the symptoms are coughing , difficulty in breathing, the membranes of mucus gland secrete large amount of mucus which prevent the free air flow. For preveting asthma avoid allergic substances . hyposensitisation drugs are used to cure asthma. The treatment includes bronchiolar drugs, antibiotic therapy.

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is acute inflammation of alveoli of lung. This is caused by a bactierium namely strptococus pneumoniae. The microorganisms such as bacteria, fungs, virus are also cause pneumonia. Which affect children more sever than adults. In this diseases the alveolar sac filled with dead wbc. This will cause difficulty in breathing. The oxygen level in the blood falls. In severe case it can cause death . to cure pneumonia we can use antibiotics. Because the disease mainly caused by bacterium. Bronchodilator drugs are also used for treatment. The disease can be prevented by vaccination.

The normal breathing is technically known as eupnoea. Certainly breathing occurs at a faster rate and sometimes it occurs at a slower rate . the fast breathing is known as tachypnoea and smaller rate of breathing is known as bradypnoea . the normal breathing can be distorted by some physiological and environmental conditions . the important respiratory disorders are hypoxia and asphyxia

Asphyxia

Asphyxia is the technical name of a situation when the delivery of oxygen to the tissues fails. Asphyxia is also known as breathlessness .the breathing difficulty occurs due to choking , drowning etc. these prevent the entry of air into the lungs .the symptoms are cough and violent respiratory efforts. The difficulty in breathing technically speak dyspnoea .in severe case it may cause death. I strongly recommend to consult a doctor if you are suffering from breathlessness.

Hypoxia
