A quick tip to Reduce Fat

By admin | September 23, 2009

A calorie is only a measure of the energy producing potential of a
type of food.If you expend less energy than is contained by the food
you consume, the food will not be metabolised and the body will turn it
into fat.Any calorie not burned up is going to be stored as fat no
matter what their food source is-protein ,carbohydrate or fat.
If your body is using more calories than you are taking in,your
body will have to burn some of the stored fat is equal to 3,500
calories .To lose one pound ,the difference between the calories you
consume and the calories you expend over a certain period of time has
to be 3,500.Hence,the basis of any weight-loss plan is to watch what
food you eat and to cut down high calorie fatty foods. So long as you
have a deficit of 3,500 calories, you will lose a pound.
Skipping meals-a common weight-loss strategy among women-is not
effective and could interfere with performance and stamina. If you
think that skipping your meals will reduce your calorie intake, you are
wrong. You will become so hungry that you end up overeating or snacking
at the next meal.Medically speaking, skipping meals is a poor strategy
as it will cause your sugar level to drop ,which can lead to feelings
of irritation and hunger, inevitably triggering a binge.Bingeing will
send your blood-sugar level up and down ,creating more cravings. In the
end you will be caught in a vicious feast-and-famine cycle.

Use less saturated oils for your good health

Faty oils

If one cant reduce the use of fat, reduce fat by using less saturated oils, which has less fatty content, that causes damages to your health.
Saturated fats are found not only in animal products and dairy
products but also in some plant products. The less saturated fat you
eat ,the better. Our bodies don’t need it and it is the fat which
contributes to raised levels of blood cholesterol ,which in turn
increase the risk of heart diseases.

Polyunsaturated fats are primarly found in vegetable oils such as
safflower, sunflower, soybean, sesame seed and cotton seed. Some studies
indicate that polyunsaturated fats can lower blood cholestrol, reducing
the risk of heart diseases. But repeated reheating of polyunsaturated
oil at high temperature until it darkens in colour turns it into
saturated fat that is better avoided .For this reason avoid deep
frying food containing polyunsaturated fat.A special type of
polyunsaturated fatty acids-the Omega-3 found in fatty fish such as
salmon, sardine and mackerel has been found to be effective in reducing
high blood pressure heart disease risk. This explains why Eskimos whose
diet depend largely on fish rarely die of heart failure.
Monounsaturated fats are found in oils such as olive ,peanut
oil, peanut butter rapeseed and foods such as
almonds,cashews,avocados.Latest research confirms that replacing
saturated fats with mono unsaturated fats may decrease the level of
blood cholestrol.Most mass-produced margarine ,salad oil,mayonnaise
and snack foods are hydrogenated for a longer shelf life.
