How usage of water helps your health?

Of our body, 75 percent is made up of water. Water is so essential for man that, even the minor fluctuation in the water content in the body can results in serious consequences.

Water is an important component for digestion and absorption of vitamins and minerals. It removes toxins from liver and kidneys, and gets rid of waste from our body.

Water is a natural suppressor of appetite, and drinking water assist in maintaining a healthy weight. Water also helps people with a history of kidney stones. Water dissolves calcium in the urine, drinking at least eight glasses a day reduces the risk of stone formation. Water also helps in avoiding urinary tract infections in man, as it flushes out impurities from the system.

Scientific studies have proved that even a mild dehydration makes one susceptible to viruses.  When your body is hydrated, the phlegm formed due to allergies and colds does not accumulate in ones throat and lungs.  Drinking water is good to the extent that even the cold sores that appear on the lips can be minimized by drinking water.

Ninety percent of blood in our cell is made up of water. Drinking water is generally recommended as a good way to detox our body. Drinking plenty of water adds a natural glow to our skin. The nourishing and refreshing quality of water, and its other health benefits underscores the need to drink clean and pure water. Drinking contaminated water can set in a lot of health problems. When we drink water, it should always be kept in our mind that the real health benefits of water could only be achieved through pure and uncontaminated water.
