Some facts about cigarette smoking

Smoking is the drawing in and puffing out of smoke from burning tobacco in cigarettes, cigars, and pipes. It can damage people’s lungs and hearts leading to serious illness and can make people cough and feel short of breath.

The U.S Public Health Service published a report on January 11, 1964 stating that cigarette smoking is an important cause of lung cancer and other deadly diseases. Cigarette packages must bear a wrote warning that smoking is dangerous. The government‘s warning was gave only after ten of the country’s outstanding doctors studied scientific evidence for more than one year. When their studies were finished, all ten doctors agreed that a warning should be issued.

Tobacco smoke have tiny amounts of tars and nicotine. Tars take form as tobacco burns. Tars coat the lungs and the cilia, the ‘cleaning brushes’ of the lung’s bronchial tubes ,cannot brush our germs and dust as they should. Nicotine is a drug contained in tobacco leaves. It makes the heart beat faster and also speeds up breathing.

The use of tobacco for smoking probably began with the American Indians. Smoking soon became fashionable in the courts of Europe.

Cigarette smokers often inhale the tobacco smoke into their lungs. They’re more likely to be affected by the harmful substances in smoke than cigar and pipe smokers who usually don’t inhale. But pipe and cigar smokers absorb nicotine that might injure the heart and thus being prone to heart borne diseases.

Blood group O’s, for instance shouldn’t eat mustard greens, cauliflower and cabbage because they inhibit the thyroid function by binding iodine.

HARVEY DIAMOND’S FIT FOR LIFE: Diamond says that people should not mix high protein and complex carbohydrates. They are not digested quickly and get stored by body as fat which in turn leads to weight gain.

On the surface level several causes of different types of fears can be pointed out but if we go deeply we can convert all these cause into the following root causes ..if we are depending on external objects and people for out existence and feeling of self worth , we then generate fear by anticipating the loss of that object . without a habit of dependency there could be not fear. We would then allow objects and experiences to come and go without trying to cling to them. But when we feel the deep dependency on something we are inevitable afraid of losing it . whatever we feel that we must have is what we fear losing. Feeling of separateness is one of the root cause of our fear. Our sense of separateness from each other and from god. We remain unaware of our natural interconnections with each other and experience ourselves as individual egos separate from each other .whatever we se as separate from ourselves inevitable becomes a source of fear .Disbelief in god and cosmic order is also another major cause of fear. If we don’t believe that there is a ruler of the world who is running world according to some cosmic order and divine laws .feeling of self inadequacy is also create fear. Many people think that they can’t do what others do. The don’t have enough confidence and capability and consider themselves as worthless persons.
